Born in Empoli in 1987, Ilaria Posarelli started studying piano at the Maria Tipo’s Fiesole Music School, with the teacher Enrico Stellini.

She graduated in 2009 with top marks and highest honours at the Institute of Musical Studies – R. Franci in Siena, under the guide of Pier Narciso Masi; with his direction, in the same year, she also obtained the two-year degree of specialization course, at the Accademia Musicale di Firenze.

She is appreciated in the international panorama, as a soloist as well as chamber musician.

She has played for O.S.E.M. – Mexico, Doria International – Tokyo and Takayama, Middelburg Muziek Festival, Havellaendische Musikfestspiele – Schloss Ribbeck, Kammerdakapo Kunstlerhaus – Munchen, Amici della Musica – Firenze, Teatro Goldoni – Livorno, PianoEchos – Alessandria, Musicaviva Torino, Toscana Classica, Anacaprifamusica, Amici di Campolofeno – Isola d’ Elba, Le vie del Barocco – Palazzo Tursi Genova, Teatro L’Affratellamento, Teatro Cantiere Florida – Firenze.

She has been directed by conductors asN. Lalov, M. Niesolowskij, Peter Tiboris, Franz Schottky, Chuy Medina, Andrea Vitello, and has worked with musicians as Vladimir Mendelssohn, Edgardo Rocha, Arkadi Marasch, Augusto Vismara, Mikhail Zemtsov, Roberto Corlianò, Ramon Jaffè, Kamilla Schatz, Lisa Jacobs and many others.

She has performed with many chamber groups and orchestras such as Orchestra Sinfonica de Extado – Mexico, Cascais and Oeiras Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra Lirico Sinfonica – Teatro del Giglio di Lucca, Camerata Ducale di Parma, O.R.T.’s  and Maggio Musicale Fiorentino’s soloists, Quartetto Fauves, Collegium Tiberinum.

During her formation, she has attended Accademia di Musica di Pinerolo, International Klavier Akademie Murrhardt – Stuttgardt, and she has grabbed the teachings of great pianists including Dmitri Alexeev, Pietro De Maria, Felix Gottlieb (Emil Gilels’s pupil), Stanislav Pochekin, Andrea Lucchesini, Roberto Corlianò, Daniel Rivera, Sasha Bajcic, Vincenzo Balzani.

Ilaria is particularly interested in refined repertoire: in 2016, she recorded Rossini’ s piece “Quelques riens pour album”, for “Amadeus” and “Movimento Classical” Labels.

She is the founder and art director of “Italian Opera in Siena” since 2013.
